Overview
TermiX is an SSH client for connecting to and managing servers that you own or are authorized to access. We follow data-minimization principles. TermiX contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not require a TermiX account.
Data Processed by TermiX
- Hosts and credentials: Host names, addresses, ports, user names, passwords, private keys, host fingerprints, and port-forwarding settings are used to establish SSH/SFTP connections that you initiate.
- Script snippets and settings: Snippets you create, terminal appearance, and preferences are used to provide app functionality.
- Connection and session logs: When logging is enabled, TermiX stores connection results and terminal session content. Session content may include information you enter or see on a server.
- Selected photos and files: TermiX accesses items only when you select them for upload. They are transferred directly to the server you specify through your SFTP connection.
- Biometric result: When Face ID is enabled, iOS performs authentication. TermiX receives only whether authentication succeeded; it cannot access or store your face data.
Storage and Sync
Hosts, credentials, snippets, trusted hosts, logs, and settings are stored locally using iOS secure storage by default. If you enable iCloud sync, applicable data is synchronized between your devices through Apple's iCloud infrastructure associated with your Apple Account. Connection and session logs sync to iCloud only when you select the private iCloud log-storage option. Face ID and PIN settings remain on the current device.
The developer does not operate a server that receives this synced content and cannot view your host credentials, terminal content, or iCloud data through a TermiX backend.
Network Connections
When you connect, TermiX sends the authentication information and terminal data needed for that connection directly to the SSH server or jump host you specify. How a remote server records, uses, or retains data is determined by that server's owner and privacy policy. TermiX may request local-network access to connect to servers on your local network.
Command Assistant
The current command assistant generates suggestions locally on your device using built-in rules. It does not send terminal content or your input to the TermiX developer or a third-party AI service.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising, cross-app tracking, or profiling. We do not disclose your data to other parties except to servers you choose to connect to, Apple's iCloud service when you enable sync, or where required by law.
Retention, Export, and Deletion
Data remains stored until you delete the relevant items in the app, clear logs, or disable the applicable storage option. You can use TermiX import/export features to migrate configuration. iOS Keychain data may remain after the app is uninstalled; to remove it, delete hosts, keys, and logs in the app first. If iCloud is enabled, synced copies are also subject to your iCloud settings and Apple's retention practices. You can turn off TermiX sync in your device's iCloud settings.
Children's Privacy
TermiX is intended for server administration and development and is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Policy Updates
We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The revised policy and effective date will be posted on this page. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide an appropriate notice in the app.
